The Sumer Musical Instruments company briefly offered an aluminum body (with bolt-on wood neck) model which featured the Abel Axe aluminum body, also similar to the model offered under the Rogue trademark. Other MD and Metal Driver models during this time period feature wood bodies similar to designs offered by Ibanez and Jackson. All electric guitars and basses were good quality instruments that appealed to the working or semi-professional musician (see Music Drive).
Instruments previously built in Korea. Previously distributed by Sumer Musical Instruments Co., Ltd. of Japan. Also see Music Drive.
