While he has been building guitars part time for the past eight years, David Thomas McNaught began building full time in 1997. McNaught's guitar playing background started in his childhood, performing to his favorite band's songs with a tennis racket! While learning to play an actual guitar, McNaught sometimes became dissatisfied with the construction. Many of his first guitars became customized (changing parts and pickups). This customizing combined his family's woodworking background and gave him the idea to begin building his own designs.
