Bernie Rico, of B.C. Rich, introduced the Mason Bernard trademark of guitars in the early 1990s. Mason Bernard guitars were based on B.C. Rich's Assassin (Strat-style design) with high end appointments including ebony fingerboards and Floyd Rose tremolos. All guitars were hand-built and it is estimated that they produced between 225 and 352 guitars depending on the chronological sequence of the serial numbers. One Mason Bernard acoustic guitar has been encountered as well.
Instruments previously produced in California between 1990 and 1991.
