Lafayette instruments were shorter-scaled beginner instruments imported to the U.S. and sold through LaFayette Electronics' catalogs. The LaFayette product line consisted of amplifiers, thinline acoustic/electric archtops, and solid body electric guitars and basses. Many models were built by Japan's Guyatone company, although some may also be Teisco models. Source: Michael Wright, Vintage Guitar Magazine.
Instruments previously produced in Japan during the 1960s. Distributed by LaFayette Electronics.
