KONA

Since 1976 M&M Merchandisers has been a national wholesaler of musical instruments and consumer electronics. Tiring of quality issues usually associated with the entry level guitars offered to them at the time, M&M decided to make a change to better serve their dealer base. In July of 2001 M&M introduced their Kona brand of import electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and guitar amplifiers (as well as Z.Z. Ryder and Trinity River acoustic guitars) to have better control over the quality and features offered. The Lancaster Series have Strat-style bodies and come as models KES1 (MSR $260) with three single coil pickups and KES2 two single coils and one humbucker pickups (MSR $280).
