KASUGA

Kasuga started producing guitars based on popular American designs. As part of the "copy era" of the mid-1970s, all guitars from this period based on Les Pauls, SGs, ES-335s, Strats, Teles, P basses, J basses, and 4001 Rickenbacker basses. In the late 1970s, when Gibson and other manufacturers started enforcing their trademarks, Kasuga started to build their own original designs. The Scorpion Series feature neck-thru-body construction and high-end woods that are similar to Washburn's electric guitars of the same era. While the quality is medium to good on these guitars, most collector's consider them to be part of the "copy era." Guitars are typically valued between $200 and $500 depending on configuration and condition.
