Luthier Patrick Jordan custom built guitars and sitars. Unlike the Coral/Danelectro design, Jordan places the 12 sympathetic strings to the rear of the instrument. Jordan features the usual North American hardwoods such as ash, alder, basswood, cherry, maple, and walnut, but others such as birch, poplar, and sycamore are optional. Jordan's favorite tone wood is Osage Orange. Jordan's custom template/order sheet gives the player making the commission some control over aspects of the construction, while Jordan maintains control over pickup placement and hardware placement. Jordan also offers custom bodies as replacement parts. Prices on guitars started at $1,500, bodies ranged from $150 to $880, and sitars ranged from $3,835 to $4,400.
