H.M.L. Guitars was founded in 1994 by Howard Leese (guitarist, and twenty-five year veteran with the rock group Heart). Leese participates in all aspects of construction as the overall quality control inspector. He also allowed every customer to help co-design their instruments for a more personal touch. H.M.L. guitars were totally hand built in Seattle by luthier Jack Pimentel.
The customer list for H.M.L. guitars includes such notables as Bruce Hastell, Mike Soldano, Val Kolbeck, Billy Gibbons, Jim Fiske, and (of course) Howard Leese himself, (company information courtesy Howard Leese, 1996). Howard has his own website where he may be able to answer questions about guitars.
Instruments previously built in Seattle, WA from 1994 to the late 1990s.
