Designer/luthier Allen Giles offered a retro-styled/advanced composition guitar model that was reasonably priced. Giles' KL-200 model featured a bolt-on maple neck combined with a resin cast body. The resin cast body was designed to recreate the tonal and sustain qualities of more expensive tone woods. Both the body and the necks were produced in the USA. The composite guitar was offered in part due to other big-name manufacturers (Gibson, Martin) producing guitars out of more environmental-friendly products.
Instruments previously produced in Bellingham, MA until 1998. Distributed by Giles USA/AD & G Enterprises of Bellingham, MA.
