Guitars bearing this trademark were built by Benito & Umberto Cingolani in Recanti, Italy. Like many other European countries, Italy experienced the 1960s pop music popularity that led to a larger demand for electric guitars. However, many electric guitar builders were also manufacturers of accordions. As a result, many guitars ended up with accordion-style finishes and touches, such as a barrage of buttons for pickup or tone selection. It is up to the individual guitar player to make the choice: play 'em or pose with 'em! Source: Tony Bacon, The Ultimate Guitar Book.
