Flea, the bassist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, introduced his only line of bass guitars called the Fleabass. Flea's goal was to provide young people an instrument to fall in love with that their families can afford to buy. While the instruments were produced overseas, they were built to Flea's blueprint (not a licensed design) and thoroughly inspected before they were sent to any stores/dealers. The first two bass guitars included the full-scale Model 32 (MAP $499) and the short-scale Junior Bass (MAP $399), and each were available in four distinct finishes.
Instruments previously produced in China between 2009 and 2011. Distributed by The Music Link in Hayward, CA.
