English, disappointed at the quality, price, and playability of current new guitars, decided to offer an alternative with his handcrafted Gretsch-ish guitar models. These models definitely catch the vibe of the 1950s and 1960s, and offer the guitarist the smooth, warm Nashville sound, similar to those that Chuck Berry, Duane Eddy, and Brian Setzer have, according to the catalog.
