DEMARS GUITARS

Instrument designer Dan DeMars builds hand-crafted chambered solidbody electric guitars and basses in his Norwich, VT shop. DeMars has played guitar since the 1970s, worked for Ned Steinberger, and was the head of marketing, advertising, and artist relations for Steinberger's company NS Design. DeMars' Vermont-made chambered solid body instruments include the Viridis acoustic/electric guitar (steel- or nylon-string; MSR $3,400), the Equinox electric guitars (MSR $3,400), the fretted or fretless Long Trail acoustic/electric bass (four- or five-string, MSR $3,600 and $3,600), and the fretted or fretless Long Trail Mag bass (four- or five-string, MSR $3,800 and $4,000).
