Castelfidardo guitars are associated with Italian luthier Alfredo Bugari (see also Stonehenge II), but the distributor (if any) to the U.S. market is still unknown.
David Pavlick is the current owner of this "mystery guitar." The three-per-side headstock features a decal which reads "Castelfidardo - Excelsior - New York," and features a 15 5/16 in. archtop body, two pickups, bound 22-fret neck, four knobs (two v, two tone), three-way pickup selector on the upper bass bout, and trapeze tailpiece. Inside both f-holes there is "1 52 in. stamped into the back wood. Source: David J. Pavlick, Woodbury, CT.
Instruments previously built in Italy, production date unknown.
