Roberto Brandoni was born and raised in Castelfidardo, Italy´s premier musical instrument production area. By age six, he was already helping out in his father´s accordion factory. In 1972, Brandoni resettled in England and has become part of the British music industry. After working for UK distributor Dallas-Arbiter, Brandoni started his own firm specializing in music-related accessories like Quik-Lok stands and cases.
Brandoni became involved in guitar production after buying out leftover Vox and Hayman spare parts. Setting up workshops in Wembley, he produced and customized a number of instruments over the years (such as Graffiti of London). In 1987, Brandoni acquired the remaining inventory of EKO parts after the company closed down. Brandoni also purchased the contents of the Welson factory (another leading Italian guitar builder). Brandoni is currently offering guitars built of parts from decommissioned EKO, Vox, and Welson factories. Models and parts can come from bodies, necks, bridges, tailpieces, pickups, accessories, and strings. All prices, as well as more information on parts, are listed on their website.
