Luthier Roger Borys began guitar repair work in the early 1970s, and completed building his first guitar in 1976. Borys has concentrated on building versatile, high quality instruments designed for the jazz guitarist. In 1980, Borys united with James D'Aquisto and musician Barry Galbraith to design the BG 100 Jazz electric. This instrument, later labeled the Model B 120, was co-built between Borys and Chip Wilson. Other instruments have included the B 222 Jazz Solid, which has a solid jazz voice, but can be used in playing other forms of music. Used guitars by Borys should be valued individually, because each guitar has its own features and options.
Instruments currently built in Burlington, VT beginning in the mid-1970s.
