Although Bill Lawrence is best-known for his pickup designs, he does have extensive experience in guitar design as well. Lawrence has worked as both a consultant and designer for Framus and Gibson. In 1975, he started Lawrence Sound Research to market and produce his own pickups. Since then, produced the Wilde USA series of electric guitars that featured his own pickups as well. Currently, Bill Lawrence produces Keystone pickups.
