BARCLAY

Barclay instruments were generally entry level, quality guitars with shorter scale necks that appealed to beginners. These guitars were built in Japan, and the American distributor is unknown. The product line included thinline hollow body electric archtops as well as solidbody guitars and basses. Some models appear to be built by Kawai/Teisco, although this has not yet been confirmed.
Models that were produced in the United States were possibly built by Harmony. Pickups on some of these Barclays (Gibson copies) are the same that were featured in Harmony Rockets.
