Michael Adler started Adler Guitars as a true custom shop in the 1990s in an effort to bring genuinely custom instruments to those who couldn't previously afford them. Adler basses were hand built to order, but a few select dealers stocked some basses. Custom scale lengths, hardware, pickups, and preamps were all available at no extra cost. Custom body shapes and inlays were also available and all basses include a lifetime warranty. Adler released a Sub-Contra Bass at the 2004 NAMM show, and a five-string set-neck model in 2005.
Instruments previously built in Calimesa, CA between the 1990s and mid-2000s.
