Hans Peter Wilfer (son of Frederick Wilfer - Framus), established Warwick in 1982 in Germany. Warwick basses began to take off with many artists endorsing the products in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Many entry-level bass players could not afford a Warwick so the decision was made to create a budget-line of Warwick instruments. After searching through several factories, they found a winner in China (because of the high-quality and similar philosophical styles of running a company). Rockbass now produces several budget-versions of popular Warwick designs. For more information, contact Rockbass.
Rockbass by Warwick. Instruments currently produced in China since 2002.
