JACOBACCI

Luthier Vincent Jacobacci started building acoustic guitars, banjos, and mandolins under the Jacobacci name in the 1930s. Shortly after, his sons Andre and Roger started working for him and they started electric production in circa 1952. The Jacobacci brothers produced a wide variety of instruments including electric archtops, solidbodies, and guitars with aluminum necks. Most guitars were played by French musicians and few made it to the U.S.; however, a few have shown up at vintage guitar shows. Guitars may have the names "Jaco" and "Jaco Major" on the headstock. Jacobacci also produced guitars for several other companies in the 1960s.
