Luthier/designer Curt Meyers worked on an innovative design that featured primary and secondary guitar bodies that shared a similar neck. A central fret replaced the conventional nut, and there was a separate scale length for the left-hand and the right-hand. Dubbed the Model X-15, this guitar can produce two notes on a single string. Last known retail prices on the X-15 ran from $499 up to $4,000. Meyers also produced a guitar called the J.H. model that was designed for players that favor the Jeff Healy fretting technique. The guitar consisted of a central body and a pair of necks that shared the same set of strings. Last known retail prices ranged from $1,400 to $4,000.
