The U.S. distributor for the Crown trademark is still currently unknown; the Japanese manufacturer is also unknown. The Crown logo has been spotted on violin-shaped hollow body electric guitars and basses, as well as solid body electrics. The solid body guitars are reported as being generally cheap entry level instruments. Most electric instruments can be found priced between $150 and $300. However, there is a Barney Kessel model known to exist that could bring as much as $400 or $500. Source: Tony Bacon and Paul Day, The Guru's Guitar Guide; and Michael Wright, Vintage Guitar Magazine.
