The Abilene trademark was previously distributed in the U.S. by Samick and Advantage Worldwide. Abilene offered a range of acoustic, acoustic/electric, solidbody electric guitars, and practice amplifiers. The guitars were built by Samick of Korea, and the electric guitar models featured designs based on popular American models.
