Luthier Manuel Rodriguez, grandson of noted flamenco guitarist Manuel Rodriguez Marequi, has been building classical style guitars for a number of years. He began learning guitar construction at the age of thirteen in Madrid and apprenticed in several shops before opening his own. Rodriguez emigrated to Los Angeles in 1959 and professionally built guitars for nearly fifteen years. In 1973, Rodriguez returned to Spain and currently builds high quality instruments. U.S. distribution was handled by Fender between the mid-1990s and 2005.
