Manuel Raimundo first built guitars in 1968 with two partners: Jesús Grau and Antonio Aparicio. In 1974, they ventured out to some of the world's largest music fair. By 1980, Raimundo had twenty-five employees and they were building 12,000 guitars a year. In 1984, they exhibited in the U.S. for the first time. Guitars became available in the U.S. shortly thereafter. Production has steadily increased since then, and they have expanded into larger facilities several times. Raimundo offers a wide range of classical and flamenco-style acoustic guitars. Several models and variations are available. Prices range between $480 and $1,300. Instruments are currently distributed by Rockbox Electronics in Campbell, CA and previously distributed by Sam Ash Music, Luthier Music Corporation of New York, NY, and Music Imports of San Diego, CA.
