Ken Parker is best-known for co-designing the Parker Fly guitar with Larry Fishman in the early 1990s, but he has been involved in building guitars, most notably archtops since the mid-1970s. Parker took a job with the now defunct Stuyvesant Music in New York City, working both in the repair shop as well as building Guitar Man instruments. Parker's background in repairing and customizing guitars became the groundwork for the innovative design of the Fly guitar. Parker introduced the Fly guitar in 1992 and continued on with Parker until 2003 when his company was purchased by U.S. Music Corp. Parker has been building a variety of archtop guitars since under Ken Parker Archtops. For more information, visit Parker's website or contact him directly.
