Luthier Roger Fritz met Marc Fisher in Nashville in 1987. Together with guitarist Roy Buchanan they formed Fritz Brothers guitars, which was relocated to Alabama a year later. During 1988, the Fritz Brothers began building the Roy Buchanan Bluesmaster model; Buchanan died later that year (a portion of the sales goes to Buchanan's estate).
Roger is now making guitars and other instruments out of his shop in Albion, California. He builds many different models that are partly inspired by classic designs with his own twist. Instruments currently built in Albion, Mendocino County, CA. Previously built in Mobile, AL circa 1988.
