CA Guitars stands for Composite Acoustic Guitars, and they are guitars made out of composite and graphite materials instead of wood. This material is stronger and is able to withstand extreme conditions, whereas a regular wood guitar would not. CA started in 1999 and by 2003, they had become very backordered. In 2005, CA stopped building guitars to retool and reorganize their operation. In summer, 2006, CA was at a new facility where they can produce up to twenty guitars a day. The guitars were slightly redesigned as well. In late 2010, Peavey aquired CA Guitars. For more information, refer to their website.
Instruments currently produced in Lafayette, LA, since 1999. Distributed by Peavey in Meridian, MS since 2010.
