Baden Guitars was founded by luthier T.J. Baden and Errol Antzis with design input from European designers Andreas Pichler and Ulrich Teuffel. Baden is the former vice president of sales and marketing at Taylor Guitars, and Antzis is a former investment banker. In 2004, Baden was contacted by the Ayers factory in Vietnam to help distribute their guitars. After visiting the factory and seeing what they were capable of producing, Baden started putting together the new Baden line. Andreas Pichler of Andreas Guitars worked in conjunction with Baden and Antzis to design the dreadnought and auditorium-style guitars. These guitars were produced in the Ayers factory in Vietnam under the close supervision of six French luthiers. Guitars ranged between $1,348 and $3,000, and they were distributed through a select number of small independent retailers. It appears that Baden closed their doors in mid-2010.
Guitars previously produced in Vietnam between 2006 and 2010. Distributed by Baden Guitars in Escondido, CA.
