Avalon has been building guitars since the 1980s. In 2002, the Lowden Guitar Company launched Avalon as a new brand of acoustic guitars. This guitar line was established to make guitars that are of the Lowden quality but keep the price range low. Lowden guitars typically sell in the $3,000-$5,000 range while the Avalon guitars start at a retail price of under $2,000, with none going over $2,600. In 2005, Avalon broke away from Lowden and became their own trademark and they currently offer a wide range of acoustic guitars. For more information contact Avalon directly.
Instruments currently produced in North Ireland since the 1980s. Previously distributed by Musical Distributors Group of Kinnelon, NJ between 2005 and 2007, and by the Lowden Guitar Co. in Fort Worth, TX between 2002 and 2005.
