Ashland instruments were manufactured for the entry-level or beginning guitarist. Ashland offered at least three dreadnought-style guitars with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Models included the AD 26 (last MSR was $249), AD 36 (last MSR was $269), and the AE 16 (last MSR was $279). The AE 16 was an acoustic/electric that featured a fingerboard-mounted pickup with adjustable pole pieces.
