Kimberly guitars were originally manufactured by Kawai Guitars (and pianos), located in Hamamatsu, Japan, and imported by Limmco, Inc., owned by Bob Seidman. The company tried to fill the void left by the discontinuance of the Kay & Harmony trademarks. Recent production of guitars under the Kimberly trademark was the Kimex Trading Co., Ltd. of Seoul, Korea. Kimex produced a number of guitar and bass models that favor classic American designs, and are designed with the entry level guitarist and student in mind. Source: Mr. Bob Seidman, Seidman Sales, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Instruments previously produced in Seoul, Korea and China during the 1990s and 2000s, and in Japan between circa 1960s to early 1970s. Distributed by the Kimex Trading Co., Ltd. in Seoul, Korea. Previously distributed by Lafayette Company catalog sales.
