Amplifiers previously produced in Canada circa 1972-73. Distributed by Gretsch.
After Gretsch amplifiers were discontinued in the late 1960s, Baldwin wanted to introduce a new line of models. They had Yorkville Sound of Traynor fame in Canada build a line of amps that were called Sonax. These amps were solid-state in design and available in bass or guitar configurations. The Sonax line lasted less than two years when Baldwin/Gretsch discontinued the line. For more information on Gretsch amplifiers see the Gretsch section.
