When it comes to repairing Hammond organs, Richard Goodsell is one of the best. He has always been interested in Hammond and Leslie organ amplifiers, even though he didn't know how to play organ very well. During the 1990s, he became known as one of the best repairers with Hammonds and Leslie. In the early 2000s, Goodsell decided to do something with all the leftover parts he had from many B3 Hammond models over the years, and he started work on the Super 17 amplifier. There was a lot of trial and error to make a bunch of parts from an organ amplifier into a guitar amplifier, and the original model with serial #0001 featured all organ parts (an idea he dropped shortly thereafter). Goodsell appreciates the quality of parts and craftsmanship used on amps over 50 years old and applies this to all the amps he builds. He also believes in simplicity - his amps have as few controls as possible. For more information, visit Goodsell's website or contact them directly.
