RENO, G.H.
Instruments currently built in Tulsa, OK.
Gerald H. Reno spent 10 years making a name for himself in the guitar field. In 1984, Jerry, already a working guitarist in Tulsa, OK, set out to produce his own line of custom built guitars. His idea was a better feeling, playing, and sounding guitar "geared to the experienced player." The modest guitar shop grew into a 4,000-square-foot factory, just off the famed Route 66 in Tulsa, OK.
Standard features on G.H. Reno guitar models consisted of hard rock maple necks, select maple and pau ferro rosewood fingerboards, and hand-wound tuned pickups. Updated features included the "Glo-Dot" side markers, Sperzel tuners, and "Single Barrel" or "Double Barrel" pickups.
