The Palmer trademark was first introduced in the 1980s, initially distributed by the Chesbro Music Company, and later distributed by the Tropical Music Corporation. Palmer instruments are geared toward the entry level or student guitarist with a wide variety of instruments including solidbody electric and bass guitars, nylon-string acoustic guitars, and classical guitars, many of which are based on traditional American designs. Solidbody models were marketed under the trademark (or model designation) of Biscayne, Growler, Baby, and Six. The Biscayne trademark is still distributed by Tropical Music Corporation.
