Instruments previously produced by Gibson and Kay circa 1930s-1960s. See chapter on House Brands.
This trademark has been identified as a House Brand of Speigel, and was sold through the Speigel catalogs. The Old Kraftsman brand was used on a full line of acoustic, thinline acoustic/electric, and solid body guitars from circa 1930s to the 1960s. Old Kraftsman instruments were probably built by various companies in Chicago, including Kay and some models by Gibson. Source: Michael Wright, Vintage Guitar Magazine.
