Guitars currently produced in China since circa 2004. Currently not distributed in the U.S, but distributed by G Sharp in Norway, and by distibutors in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, the Be-Ne-Lux Countries.
The G# guitars was first designed in 1997 by Øivin Fjeld, and a prototype was built a short time after. The G# name comes from the guitar being tuned G# (same as a fourth-fret capo) and it features a solid body/ neck through body-style guitar with a single coil pickup mounted in the would-be soundhole.
