GOODFELLOW
Instruments previously built in Northern Ireland during the late 1980s and 1990s. Distributed in the US market by Quality First Products in Forest City, NC.
Goodfellow basses were introduced in the 1980s, and caught the eye of Lowden Guitars' Andy Kidd during an exhibit in Manchester. Kidd, originally offered to spread the word and help subcontract some of the building, eventually acquired the company. These high quality basses were available in four-, five-, or six-string configurations, featured select figured and exotic wood construction, active tone circuitry, humbucking pickups designed by Kent Armstrong, and an ebony fingerboard that spanned a two octave neck.
