Instruments previously built in England between 1984 and 1986.
Advanced design Bond guitars were designed by Scotland's Andrew Bond. The Electraglide model featured such innovations as a graphite body, stepped ridges instead of a conventional fretted neck, and a digital LED readout. Despite interest in the innovations and feel of the guitar, production lagged and the retail cost climbed. The company eventually closed in 1986, despite considerable financial investment and endorsements by The Edge (U2). Production amounts were limited, understandably. Source: Greg Smith.
