Instruments previously produced in Japan during the 1960s.
The Blackjack brand name appears on some electric hollowbody guitars and basses. Neither the Japanese manufacturer (some models may have been built by Aria) nor the U.S. distributor have been identified. Violin-shaped Blackjack instruments are generally entry level to medium quality, and hold little fascination in the vintage market. Prices typically range between $100 and $250 in excellent condition. Source: Michael Wright, Vintage Guitar Magazine.
