VANTAGE
Instruments previously produced in Japan between 1977 and 1990 and in Korea between 1990 and the mid-1990s. Distributed by Music Industries Corporation in Floral Park, NY.
The Vantage trademark was established in Matsumoto, Japan, around 1977 and guitars were originally manufactured by Matsumoku. When Matsumoku stopped buliding guitars in the late 1980s, production moved to Korea in 1990. The last catalog from Vantage was from 1996 and it appears that they stopped building guitars shortly thereafter. Vantage offered a wide range of guitars designed for the beginning student to the intermediate player.
