McKNIGHT GUITARS
Instruments currently produced in Morral, OH since 1992.
Luthier Tim McKnight and his wife Mary, build acoustic guitars in their Morral, OH shop. McKnight was originally a mechanical engineer and he would repair guitars at night. In the mid-1980s, Mary bought him a guitar kit so he could assemble his own instrument. Although it took around eight years to complete the guitar, it inspired McKnight to begin building guitars full-time in 1992. Guitars are constructed by Tim, and Mary handles the binding, rosettes, inlays, and other exterior aspects. McKnight offers seven body styles including the Jumbo Mac, MacNaught, Highlander OM-D, Skeeter, Mini Mac, Slope MacNaught, and the Deacon. Several woods come standard, but there is a full list of options available. Guitars start at $5,500. For more information, visit McKnight's website or contact them directly.
