D'ANGELICO GUITARS OF AMERICA
Trademark of instruments previously manufactured by Vestax in Japan from 1988-2004. Distributed by D'Angelico Guitars of America in Colts Neck, NJ.
In 1988, Mr. Jerry Berberine signed a deal with Mr. Hidesato Shino to re-launch the D'Angelico line of guitars to be made in Japan. These instruments were built with the same quality that the vintage models. Vestax built its last instruments during 2004. Refer to the website for more information (see Trademark Index).
Almost all D'Angelico guitars come standard with exposed pickups as opposed to the vintage models were most were standard acoustics. For model listings, please refer to the Blue Book of Electric Guitars.
